Created by the company MPOWERD, Luci has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, weighs only 4.5 ounces, and yields a minimum of 6-12 hours of light off of one charge. Luci is durable, and can be easily collapsed for travel. To use Luci, one simply needs to remove the valve on top and blow it up, just like an inflatable pool toy. Once fully inflated, close the valve, push it down, and begin use! Luci is available for purchase across the US, but can also be donated to those in need. With the Give Luci Program, MPOWERED aims to fight energy poverty across the world. With this program, people have a way to get involved with the fight against energy poverty. The first Luci purchased is $14.95, and each additional unit is discounted $5.00. This means that for under $40.00 you can provide three of these lights to families in need across the world. This is a small price to pay to provide children with light to grow up by.

Tremendous improvement has been seen in the children’s school work after the distribution of the lights. Something as small and basic as the light seen in the picture can make a world of difference for many.
